The next ETPA General Membership meeting will be held on May 10, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. in Athens, Tennesse. We will meet at Michael's Casual Dining and the registration form may be found in the April newsletter. The program will include a speaker to tell us about upcoming procurements tied to the new PlanET, discussion of chapter management software and the 2012 Business Matchmaking event, coming up on July 19th. The 2012 East Tennessee Business Matchmaking Event will take place this year on July 19th in Johnson City! We currently need to fill out our rosters of Matchmakers, which are the local government agencies and large corporations from the area who want to meet vendors offering the products and services you need. The 2011 Fall Professional Development Conference will be held October 17th, 18th and 19th at the Music Road Conference Center in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. This conference, hosted jointly by ETPA and the Tennessee Association of Public Purchasing (TAPP), offers three days of professional development for governmental purchasing professionals. During the three days you may attend an NIGP course, multiple roundtable discussion sessions, see speakers discuss current procurement issues, and visit with vendors during the Vendor Fair.
